The game, which was released for gaming consoles in October 2012, was originally announced for iOS devices this past March and released in June with touch-optimized controls and interface tweaks. Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of XCOM developer Take-Two Interactive, also stated in July that the success of the game on iOS was ultimately showing of consumer willingness to pay premium prices on mobile devices.

Our sister site TouchArcade also gave the game a positive review upon its release, stating that its controls were inuitive and well-suited to an ultimately deep and entertaining game. XCOM: Enemy Unknown can be downloaded from the App Store for the now reduced price of $9.99. [Direct Link]

Good list.

A few extra I'd add:

- Max Payne Mobile
- Carmageddon
- Walking Dead

Great games, they are added to my list :) Hoping for the next Deus Ex game to support only A7/A7X and A6/A6X and have it so only the A7 series run the game max settings with the A6 series running a lower textured version. This way, the power of the new devices could be harnessed and with controller support will get inter brilliant!

Might have to pick this up even though I don't own an iPad yet (till the mini 2 comes out).

I am looking at games I am going to get when I get my iPad 5. Right now I have a few on my mind; Minecraft PE, Deus Ex the Fall, Deus ex The fall part 2( when it comes out), Dead Trigger 2, Real Racing 3, XCOM, GTA III and Vice City, Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5 (when it comes out), Dead Space, Storm Raiders, Mirror's Edge, Infinity Blade 3, and any console like games that come with controller support :) I have got a few of these already, can't wait for my iPad 5 :)
