Apple Reveals iPhone Duo's Battery Capacity

Since it’s under 5K mAh, that’s means a lot of yall should just cancel your orders and let us deal with the battery life. Lol

I ordered the Duo and will be getting in on launch day. I figured something would be off about the battery. I'm going to test it out for less than a week but will probably return it and purchase the 18 pro max. Bad battery life is an absolute deal breaker for me. I learned that with the air. That was a total Flop for my use case.

I like how we are saying bad battery life about a product… That has almost the same battery as the 17 Pro Max.
And still significantly bigger than the 18 pro.
5088 (17PM) vs 4883 (duo) is not that big of a difference.
In fact, Apple says that it still gets five hours of additional screen usage over the 17 Pro Max on the outside screen, so unless you plan on leaving the thing unfolded at all times, the battery life should be pretty much identical to the 17 Pro Max, which was already quite good battery life.
And not even comparable to the iPhone Air, which only has a 3100 mAh battery.
But MR gonna MR.

Pretty surprising that the Duo's battery capacity is much smaller than the Pro Max.

There’s not a lot of internal volume. The individual halves are very thin.

So same as the Z Fold 8 and 2 oz heavier. Wonder if that has to do with Samsung using silicon carbide or just the added weight of MagSafe and other components.

Apple is using titanium for the edges, as well as glass and metal for the camera housing on the back.
Samsung is using aluminum for the edges and plastic for the camera housing.
These are absolutely contributors to the lower weight of the galaxy.

I was hoping for 5,000mAh+, but endurance isn’t an issue at all on my Fold8 with a similar 4,800mAh cell. So I expect the same with the Duo.

I know silicon carbon is early but the Duo seems like a great use case for a pilot ✈️
