Apple CEO Tim Cook Achieves 'Amazing' Feat
Tim Cook participated in his final earnings call as Apple's CEO on Thursday, and a Wall Street analyst pointed out an impressive feat.
As noted by Bank of America analyst Wamsi Mohan during the call, Apple just reported more revenue in a single quarter of 2026 than it did in the entire 2011 fiscal year in which Cook became CEO. The feat shows just how much Apple has grown on a financial basis during Cook's 15-year tenure running the company.
Apple's revenue in the second quarter of the 2026 fiscal year: $109 billion.
Apple's revenue in the entire 2011 fiscal year: $108 billion.
"Just an amazing journey," said Mohan.
"Thank you for that, I really appreciate it," responded Cook.
Apple's hardware engineering chief John Ternus will become Apple's next CEO on September 1, at which point Cook will become Apple's executive chairman.
