I wouldn’t agree. TV content now is leaps and bounds ahead of those days.
I'm old enough to remember when new shows debuted in September, had a couple of dozen episodes in a season, then went on summer hiatus.
Now we get maybe 10 new shows in the summer, and we wait a year until the next season comes out. Of course, by that time you've forgotten what's happened, so you go back and rewatch the previous season.
If I was cynical, I'd think this was more a ploy to drive subscriptions than produce good entertainment.
As for Season 3, does anyone know when it will start? I've watched four episodes and I'm still waiting 😄
In those days shows had more filler to pad out the long seasons. Seasons that meandered on as a result.
What that era did have though that is sadly lost now. Everyone watching at the same time.
