New Report Leaks Another iOS 27 Change

Alongside iOS 27 and other software updates, Apple plans to unveil a modernized "Core AI" framework at WWDC 2026, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

"Core AI" will succeed Apple's existing "Core ML" on-device machine learning framework.

"The switch from 'ML' to 'AI' is significant," said Gurman, in his Power On newsletter today. "Apple knows that 'machine learning' is a dated term that no longer resonates with developers or consumers. The general purpose of Core AI, though, remains the same: helping developers integrate outside AI models into their apps."

No further details were provided at this time.

"Core AI" will be part of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and more. Apple is expected to unveil the updates during its developers conference WWDC in June.
