Apple Seeds Fourth macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 Beta to Developers [Update: Public Beta Available]

by

Apple today seeded the fourth beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 update to developers, less than one week after seeding the third beta and just over two weeks after releasing the macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 update.

The new macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 beta can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store with the proper profile installed.

It's not yet clear what improvements the second major update to macOS High Sierra will bring, but it's likely to include bug fixes and performance improvements for issues that weren't addressed in macOS High Sierra 10.13.1.

No significant new features were discovered in the first three betas of macOS High Sierra 10.13.2, but we'll update this post should notable changes be found in the fourth beta.

The previous update, 10.13.1, introduced fixes for some serious security flaws and brought new emoji to the macOS operating system.

Update: Apple has also made the fourth macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 beta available for public beta testers.

Go play a youtube video in safari with music from iTunes playing in the background, then try and pause your music. You sure it's fixed?
That's the new expected behavior

Do exactly what I said above and then go back to iTunes with youtube running in the background and try and use the media keys to play your music in iTunes. IT'S BROKEN.

Any idea when the final 10.13.2 build would be released?
I have a guess that they're wanting to get things sorted out before Christmas rolls around which at that point I'm sure Apple will probably have a skeleton staff. I wonder to what extent the delay is due to getting security nailed down.

You're joking right?

Why would I want to pause my music in order to watch a youtube video?
Sorry to point out the bloody obvious but so that you can hear the video clearly and not have something distracting playing in the background.

The WIFI issue will NEVER be fixed. I've learned to live with that and found other options. Apple will just say, "You have an unsupported machine" even though it's more powerful than our NEW Mac Mini which you should buy. Sorry. Or a NEW MAC PRO, that nobody wants! LMAO

MAIL is still broken as if that's not a running joke. Do you really have to lose all your old emails & server settings with every update? I still haven't found a way to fix some of them without deleting all my old emails.

How can Apple BREAK so many things with a simple scheduled update release?

This is just insane! :(
Strange, no WIFI or MAIL probs here.
All of my old saved emails are still there after every update.
Gmail settings all there after every update.

Preview still won't open pics or it takes 2 1/2 minutes for them to load.
