Apple's Last Intel 21.5-Inch iMac is Now Vintage

I LOVE my 27" 5K Retina iMac, the problem with these machines is they are useless once they get old. If only we could at least use them as external monitors, I'd be more inclined to believe that Apple cares a little bit about the environment.

I always liked the iMac's monitor colour and quality, I loved my 27".

Not enough ports, but you get the idea. Tried to have Gemini add an Apple logo to the rear of the display, but made image blurry.

Base contains a multi-directional speaker array, and a Mac mini-sized computer including fan and internal PSU. The base is designed to mimic the look of a mesh speaker housing for aesthetic purposes to keep the computer looking minimal so it will suit many settings, with individual firing speaker cones and cooling air intakes hidden in plain sight.

Grabbing and pulling the display down to the desk (the whole way down into a tilt) enters "Easel Mode" where the touchscreen activates becoming a "studio" canvas for artists and animators. Given the speaker-first design, sound quality is prioritised as a key feature.

Sound quality, ergonomics, beauty, port variety along with convenient front ports, artist's canvas with Apple Pencil support, 30-inch floating OLED display, all-in-one… iMac is back.

The problem with iMac G4 back in the day was overheating. No longer an issue. The most beautiful Mac, reimagined.

It's crazy how long these were sold with spinning drives. We had a bunch of base models at work that we had to tear apart to upgrade to a 2.5" SSD. The non-fusion drive models did not have the NVMe connector soldered on. Big Sur made them practically unusable with a spinning drive.
