Best Buy this week is hosting a pair of sales kicking off Back to School season, as well as its annual Black Friday in July event, with notable markdowns on Apple devices, TVs, headphones, monitors, and much more. These sales are set to last for the rest of this week, and you don't need to be a My Best Buy Plus or Total member to see the deals.

In terms of Apple devices, you can find solid deals on AirPods Max 2, iPhone Air, Beats accessories, and MacBook Pro. You can get the AirPods Max 2 for $449.00 ($100 off), as well as up to $500 off M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro, starting at $2,299.00 for the 1TB 14-inch model.

FYI - Best Buy and all other retailers like Amazon, etc., charge Apple back and any other manufacturer for every dollar discounted on those products, plus a handling fee. Those retailer margins never go down.

And the reason we had the “deals” and old pricing at some of those retailers while Apple already jacked up the prices, is that the retailers require a minimum of 30 to 90 day notice on price changes and it took time for those to be implemented, same with the deals that are always set in advanced with signed contracts anywhere between 6 to 12 months ahead of the promo period.

Those deal amounts will shrink going forward.

Another thing for you to know is that retailers require manufacturers to promote the products at least 3-4 times a year, and such pricing of hi/low with “deals” paid by the manufacturer to the last penny is built into the price and Apple's margin.

Apple is greedy by not offering deals on their own retail channels and uses the promos at the resellers as an incentive for those retailers; we don’t promote at our own retail channels, and we promote at your stores and pay for it in full.

I work in the wholesale industry, and I work on this stuff on a daily basis.
