Apple can't be expected to change their large margins - we should absorb it no matter the cost.

It's not as if Apple didn't increase trade-in prices because they know it's a crisis and this isn't about grabbing more profits. They did increase trade-in prices too, right? right??

Just canceled Apple One Premier. Phase one of weening myself off of cloud subscription things. Setting up Immich and Nextcloud on my home server instead. Probably going to cancel Apple Music in the next 6 months. These subscription services have taken enough.

Moving to get our Apple Music plan cancelled and stick with local music. Will never purchase AppleCare ever again. Also looking to move everything iCloud-ish like backups to local storage only to drop iCloud.

These costs are getting whack and I can't wait to wash my hands of them. I guess these price hikes were the final kick I actually needed to finally make the moves, so perhaps I should thank Apple lol

Not nice for customers, but clever for Apple to do it mostly “all at once” AND to do it when no new products have been released.

Announces of price increases are easier to stomach when you’re not buying, and when we hit “new product time”, the increased prices will be the normal prices.
