In iOS 26.2, there's a new Liquid Glass slider that lets you customize the appearance of the clock. When you select the "Glass" option, you can use the new slider to make the time look almost entirely clear, or give it a more frosted, solid look.
There continues to be a separate Solid toggle that turns off the Liquid Glass appearance for the clock entirely if you want to opt for a much more opaque design.
Apple has been adding Liquid Glass customization options, most recently introducing a "Tinted" toggle in iOS 26.1 that makes notifications and in-app buttons much more opaque for those who don't care for the Liquid Glass transparency.
Many iPhone users have been asking for a Liquid Glass slider to customize the intensity of Liquid Glass throughout iOS 26, but it's not clear if Apple plans to expand the slider beyond the Lock Screen.

Starting today, iPhone users still running iOS 26 will see iOS 27.0.1 as the prominent software update in the Settings app under General → Software Update, with iOS 26.7.1 now relegated to a smaller "Also Available" section at the bottom.

Among the flurry of iOS 27.2 releases on Monday, Apple also pushed a wave of software updates for its older operating systems, including a fix for a CoreGraphics vulnerability that Apple says may have been exploited in targeted attacks.

In a memo shared with Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers this week, and later obtained by MacRumors, Apple provided technicians with guidance on how to diagnose and address the iPhone Duo's inner display cracking issue.

Apple has selective hearing for people's disdain over Liquid Glass. It's NOT just the transparency that is the issue. It's the whole bubble buttons/interface that's complete trash. This should be just an optional theme at this point. Give us back the usable iOS 18 interface until this garbage is overhauled and made to be less user hostile.
