Apple's New iPhone SE Could Ship With Shockingly Low Base Storage
A leak out of China suggests Apple may make a controversial storage decision with its upcoming iPhone SE 4, equipping the $500 base model with just 64GB of storage, despite the fact that it's the year 2025.

A product listing discovered on a Chinese retail website suggests the iPhone SE 4 will be offered in three storage configurations: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Based on Apple's typical pricing structure, this could place the 128GB model at $599 and the 256GB version at $699.
The potential inclusion of 64GB storage feels measly to say the least in this day and age, especially given that most competing mid-range Android phones now start at 128GB. The reason of course is that modern apps, high-resolution media, and AI features demand more storage space from users' devices than ever before.
The alleged limited storage is even more puzzling given the iPhone SE 4's rumored premium features, which include the same A18 chip found in the iPhone 16, 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence, and a 48-megapixel main camera. The device is also expected to adopt the iPhone 14's design language, complete with Face ID and a 6.1-inch display.
Of course, there's no way of knowing how accurate the 64GB leak is until Apple announces the new model, but we don't have long to wait – that's expected to happen on Wednesday, February 19.
