I guess it's better than nothing, but all of the discounts I have seen yet this year seem very mild. Retailers should expect very mild response from consumers.

Ordered mine yesterday and it's out for delivery today :)
Better than Amazon, which has similar deals with delivery in mid-January!

Best Buy's 'genius' marketing. Sent me an email to activate offer $40 reward certificate if spent $750 with Best Buy card by Dec 31. Purchases must be OUTSIDE of BEST BUY. Looks like Best Buy is paying me $40 to use my Best Buy card to purchase it anywhere but Best Buy. Both Amazon (strangely long delivery time) and Target (local but limited stock - but website identifies which stores) are offering it for the same price! The irony is that I saw it a Best Buy and was ready to pull the trigger, then I got the email.

I was at bestbuy this morning (bought an Asus zephyrus g16) and saw 3 steel cages full of apple gear on the display floor, not even keeping them in the back room. Seems like bestbuy is expecting lots of sales.
