This is it. 3nm chips aren’t in the cards for M2, and prices will prob go up. This will be a substantial upgrade over my existing late 2013 15 inch. Plus Another $100 back for using prime store card. It’ll be here thurs. So excite.

Scored the base model 14" MacBook Pro for $1599 over the weekend. Amazon ran out them by Sunday. So, for the same price as
a base MacBook Air M2 with 16GB and 512GB, I'm getting a way better laptop and it's just as light.

im so tempted, and this is 100 dollars cheaper than the Air M2 with 16/512 specs.
If you can deal with the extra weight (not insignificant) then this machine is the better all-rounder.

The weight and heft is a subjective thing that only you can answer. I think the 14" is a very portable machine, but then I have had 15-16" MacBook Pros since about 2012. If you're coming from an Air or even a 13" MBP, then it's going to feel a bit chunky. Only you can decide if that's a dealbreaker or not.

They know that people are willing to pay much more for bigger storage rather than having to lug around external drives. Or they want you to pay for icloud storage. I love my mac, but getting annoyed at apple.
