Apple Music 12-Month Membership Gift Cards Now Available for $99

by

Apple has begun selling gift cards for Apple Music annual subscriptions at the discounted price of $99. The 12-month gift cards work out at $8.25 per month, offering an 18 percent saving over the standard $9.99 monthly subscription rate for Apple's streaming service.

Currently the gift cards are being offered at brick-and-mortar Apple stores and select third-party sellers like Best Buy, but eGift cards can also be purchased online at PayPal and Walmart for instant activation.

Elsewhere, residents in the U.K. can use PayPal's online eGift shop to buy 12-month Apple Music gift cards for £99, which works out at £8.25 instead of £9.99, for those willing to sign up for a full year.

Apple still offers eligible students 50 percent off an Apple Music subscription, while the family plan lets up to six people pay $15 per month, or $2.50 each.

The new Apple Music, which has seen a significant redesign in iOS 10, will launch to the public this fall.

I love that you can pay for Apple Music using iTunes credit. Currently paying $14.40 AUD a month family plan here in Australia because iTunes gift cards are always 20% off down here in Oz ;)

I always get Apple gift cards around the Holidays. Best deals in past years were $100 for $75, and you can easily find $100 for $80. I re-load my iTunes account for the year, and Apple Music automatically deducts from there. So I'm essentially getting my family plan at 20-25% off.

I would like to know too if this gift card can be used to fully pay or somewhat finance part if the family plan...
Yes it can (or apps for that matter), they do not earmark the credit for music-only. To that end this is nothing more than a discounted iTunes gift card, just with a psychologically creative spin by the marketing team. I wait for other promos or holiday events to stock up on iTunes credit for 60-80 cents on the dollar.

iTunes Gift Cards can be used as Apple Music payment, so can these similarly be used for iTunes?

Wondering if it's a way to get £119.88 worth of iTunes credit for £99!
