Apple Targeting PC File Traders with New Internet Ads

After a successful launch of iTunes for Windows, Apple has started advertising their new service with at least one targeted campaign on CNet's popular Download.com.

Copies of the new advertisements can be seen at Chaosmint and are simple animated GIFs based on the recent iPod ad campaign.

The ads are presently targeted at PC users downloading Kazaa, iMesh, Morpheus, Limewire, Kazaa Download Accelerator, eMule, and Blubster -- which are all Peer-to-Peer (P2P) related applications in the top 50 most popular downloads at the CNet site.

Kazaa and similar P2P tools have been the target of legal action for facilitating copyright infringement.
