Psion pulls out of the PDA market
Psion, it appears,
has pulled out of the PDA market:
The firm, battered by the global slowdown and rivals
such as Palm, Compaq and Microsoft, is to abandon
development or production of new personal digital
assistants (PDAs).
Perhaps of mostly historical significance (as one of the
initial handheld/PDAs), though this now leaves
PocketPC and Palm... which, admittedly, are the most
dominent handheld platforms. Curiously enough, with
most MacWorld Expo's, there are usually an
abundance of Apple PDA rumors... but very little has
been circulating. Whatever happened to Inkwell for OS X?
