Apple's foldable iPhone Duo launched in stores on Friday, October 23, and demand has outstripped supply so far. Apple Store pickup is back online after being unavailable for the past week, while delivery estimates depend on device configuration and location. Here is where things stand and how to check availability where you are.

Apple Store Pickup
The option to reserve an iPhone Duo for Apple Store pickup resumed in the U.S. and Canada on Saturday morning, between 5:10 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. Pacific Time. Apple first offered pickup briefly when pre-orders opened on October 16, but the option disappeared within minutes. It began returning in countries such as Australia, China, Japan, and South Korea on Friday, and on Saturday the pickup system was also back online in Australia, the U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, and China, among others.
If you want to manually check pickup availability at your local Apple Store, follow these steps:
- Head to the iPhone Duo order page and select your color, storage, and other options.
- Proceed to the checkout screen and look for the pick up in-store option.
- Enter your ZIP code or postcode to see which models are available for pickup with a reserved time slot.
When pickup resumed on Saturday, October 24, inventory was extremely limited and most stores had no pickup slots available that day, so it's worth checking the pickup tool often. On launch day itself, long queues formed at many Apple Stores around the world, indicating demand was high, and yet some customers managed to secure an iPhone Duo on a walk-in basis. As the hours passed, however, walk-in customers were increasingly walking out empty-handed.
Delivery Times Can Improve
At pre-order opening on October 16, delivery estimates for some configurations had already pushed into late January. At the time, Apple described demand as "nothing short of extraordinary" and said it was working to satisfy demand "as quickly as possible," so there's a good chance that, even if a delivery estimate for your order is way out in the future, it could improve over time.
iPhone Duo Pricing
iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB, with 512GB at $2,199, 1TB at $2,599, and 2TB at $3,199 on Apple's U.S. store. In the UK, the same storage tiers run £1,999, £2,199, £2,599, and £3,199 on Apple's UK store.
Carrier Issues Reported
Carrier orders and resellers have had their own problems. For example, Verizon apologized for iPhone Duo pre-order delays after customers reported missing tracking information through launch week, and the carrier compensated those affected.
Keep an Eye on Community Reports
For real-world accounts of stock and queues from other buyers, the Waiting In Line thread on the MacRumors forums has been collecting grassroots field reports since launch day, so it could be worth checking back on that thread regularly.
