Going from U3 to U4. Trade in is $390. I workout everyday and like the improved heart rate/HRV, etc.

Exercise every day! Now there's some serious motivation! Nice!

Going from U1 to U4. The new sensors and internals made it an easy choice really. Big step up. We'll see about the AI stuff but everything else looks good. U1 natural Ti but U4 in black with the white translucent band. Not sure on those bands. Surprised at the trade in value for the 4 yr old watch which does have 84% battery health... lasted well!

Can’t beat the trade in value……… and any improvement in health monitoring is well worth the money.
I had a heart attack at 2 AM ten years ago……just felt like very bad heartburn….antacids didn’t help…..put on my watch and checked ECG….and yep it was zigzagzigzag unlike anything I’ve seen before….wife drove me straight to the ER…… so..maybe without that aid I would have postponed leaving and would have saved all the yearly watch upgrades by dying….LOL

I am so glad you are okay and made it through that ordeal. The Apple Watch has a lot of unique and useful features, but the health side of things is where it is worth it's weight in gold.

I am usually the type of person that tried to get value out of things and I don't upgrade my phone every year and I usually drive my cars at least 10 years, often more. But I did upgrade from the Ultra 2 to the Ultra 3...and now I am upgrading to the Ultra 4. The reason is the price. With the 10% discounted pricing I receive, plus the trade-in, plus the 3% back via Apple Pay, it is around $268 for me to upgrade. When you consider the cost of a new Ultra and what an Ultra would be valued at every 3 or 4 years...upgrading every year for $268 is a good deal.

Being a professional mountaineer / ski mountaineer, I upgrade my Ultra every year regardless of feature set and improvements. That being said, any improvements in battery life, speed and metrics are always welcome so this year’s offering looks great.

I’m upgrading my Ultra 3 for the faster processor mainly. Some things like song recognition are sloooowwwww. Also, Siri requests can take a long time on the 3. I’m hoping with the faster processor everything is just quicker.

I ordered a U3 black w/green ocean band on Labor Day, with $305 trade-in for my U2, shipping showed Sep 14-16 (never understood why) ...
Today, my order status page was updated with a U4 black with green ocean band, with the same trade-in value (today U2 trade-in is $260), so, I'm getting a U4!

Once I get it, I will be teasing you for several months about the battery until you finally cave in and get the U4 ... ROFL

as for the VZW fee, I'd call them and tell them to wave it, that's a pathetic fee. Don't you do this on device and they don't even do anything?

That seems really chaotic. If you ordered an Ultra 3 seems like they should be able to get that to you easily enough!

yup, sent to both took and jternus, and mail did not get bounced.

at least my Apple account balanced I used for the original order get "credited" back within 2 hrs ...

still debating if I want the U4, the color/band combo I want still says Sep 18 but I'm gonna wait to see if I get an answer to my email first
