New iPad Mini Still Lacks ProMotion Despite Upgrade to OLED
Apple's new iPad mini gains an 8.5-inch OLED display, but still lacks ProMotion, with the technology noticeably absent from Apple's announcement and technical specifications.
The iPad Pro has an OLED display and supports adaptive refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and animations. The new iPad mini's display upgrades instead include deeper blacks, up to 1,200 nits of peak HDR brightness, and an optional nano-texture finish.
