Can someone help me with my purchase decision please? Should I buy the iPad Air M3 128GB for €579? It’s the most expensive it ever was here. Will the iPad last at least 3 more years?
It should easily last 3 if you mean update support wise. It only released last year and iPad Air models get software updates for up to 8 years. Main concern is if the hardware is adequate for your use, for example if you need lots of storage 128GB could be tight.

Well I don’t really need the power of the M chips I guess, I will only use it for taking notes/annotating PDFs/reading. But you’re right, the A16 is a pretty old chip. I just hope the iPad will last at least 2 years and then I might trade it in at Apple. I looked at some offers for iPad 9th gen on eBay to try their serial numbers on the Apple website and a base 9th gen iPad would still yield €125 of trade in value. I guess the cellular model would be higher.
It will last 2 years no problem. Still rocking the A16 in my 14 pro max and runs great. Very snappy and quick.
