Seldomly have I awaited a new Apple
Product as much as I am awaiting the iPad Mini 8.

For me, the iPad is a consumption device and the mini has the best form factor, and it allows for occasional annotations. Perfect.

I really wish there was a budget iPad in this size. Something on par with the tech of the base model iPad, but smaller.

The screen upgrade

Do you use any other Android device?
Nope.
I mean, aside from the fact Google lurks absolutely everywhere with apps, etc. I try and limit the damage there, too.

Otherwise this little Lenovo serves me well as an eBook and news aggregator reader, media player (audio and video player - most stored on the added micro-SD and all played through dual speakers), internet browsing, email, some gaming, sketching, and yes, even some work. Most 3rd Party apps these days are cross-platform or cloud-based and sync between themselves, regardless of device you pick up at the time.

By day, I'm a creative pro. A couple of years ago, I was curious what it would be like to move from my trusted pen + Field Notes work flow to a Pencil 2 + iPad mini 6 workflow. I was pleasantly shocked at how instantly the latter fully replaced, enhanced and evolved my workflow. Light switch. iPad mini 6 form factor is it's secret sauce. It's so perfectly portable - which doesn't come at a ht to capability. From sketching and note-taking to more process-intensive scenarios, I can't recommend the Pencil 2 - iPad mini combo more.

For consumption? Absolutely. For creation? Completely.
