I gather the sound isn't as important as how they look and how the owner looks when wearing them.

What a strange carrying case for these new Beats headphones. Shouldn't the headphones go inside the case? 🤔

Everyone comments on how they look; no one seems to care how they sound.


The most commonly used headphone by audio professionals is still the Sony MDR-7506. They sell for $99 at Best Buy. They buy them for their sounbd and don't give a $%&# how they look. This is what most pros use in the video and entertainment industry.


Music recording engineers tend to like Beyerdynamic DT 990 or 770. Both are under $200. Bought for the same reason.


I was not the first to say this. I hear people in the industry complain that no one seems to care about quality because they all use tiny portable devices that aren't as good as even a 1960s vintage stereo. We trade convenience and style for quality.


Consumers, they will pay triple if it comes in pink. The manufacturers laugh all the way to the bank.

I had a pair of DT 880s and now have DT 1990s, I love them. But I also have AirPods Max and Pro, love them too. Then using Steelseries Arctis for the PC often.

Audiophiles often sound (pun intended) like neckbeards. There are plenty of reasons to pick one headphone over another.

Well they both suck so that's fitting.
