Monday June 2, 2025 9:24 am PDT by Joe Rossignol

WWDC 2025 will kick off with Apple's keynote on Monday, June 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, and the page where the presentation will be live streamed is now available on YouTube. On the page, you can set a reminder to be notified before the keynote begins.

Apple will announce its latest software updates, including iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26, which are all rumored to feature a sleek new glass-like design. There might not be any hardware announcements, however, as Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that Apple has no major new devices ready to ship.

Apple has also readied its stream for the Platforms State of the Union, which will provide more details about the new features and tools for developers that are announced during the keynote. This video will begin on June 9 at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.

The keynote and Platforms State of the Union will also be streamed on Apple's website, and in the Apple TV app. On-demand playback will be available afterwards.

WWDC 2025 runs from June 9 through June 13. Ahead of the developer conference, Apple shared a new "Sleek peek" tagline on its website earlier today.

Apple Executive Comments on New iPad Mini Lacking 120Hz Display

Thursday October 29, 2026 1:47 pm PDT by Joe Rossignol

While the new iPad mini has an OLED display, the device does not support ProMotion, meaning the display's refresh rate is limited to 60Hz instead of 120Hz. ProMotion support would have allowed for the iPad mini's refresh rate to automatically adjust from 10Hz to 120Hz depending on the content being displayed, but evidently Apple has kept the feature exclusive to the iPad Pro among iPad...

I wish they'd quit with the pre-recorded BS. It's so boring.

I wish they'd go back to in-person demos. It feels much more real and personal, which is exactly how Apple products are supposed to be. The pre-recorded demos and cheesy Apple Park flythrough transitions had their day. But let's get back to what made Apple great. Or do they not have enough people who could pull it off anymore?

100% agree but its probably quite difficult to demo things in person that don't actually exist.

They are more showy now then they ever have been. When you go back and watch the old keynotes with Steve Jobs you really get a feel for how good he was. You wanted to listen to him and hear his thoughts and especially "one more thing". Now it seems like Apple has gone down the path of trying to be the "cool kid" and they think they are very funny and people just love them. It has had the opposite effect on me. I have been following all the keynotes since I first had a Mac back in OS 9 days and remember when OS X was first announced, the excitement and build up for that, being there on day one to get the OS X installer disc. All the subsequent events with all the amazing releases after that which were so simple, just people on a stage yet I would watch the whole thing. The pre-recorded stuff is just boring and I scrub through and watch at my own pace as it does not feel like a live event that I want to be there for.

pre-recorded is better. gets rid of dumb moments tbh and gets points across faster. plus it always starts on time.

And that right there is the issue - it allows for the editing out of mistakes etc.

Go back and look at all of the keynotes with Jobs. There's mistakes (Rokr demo), flubs (the clicker not working & Jobs telling a story of Wozniak), Schiller leaping 30ft down holding an iBook. Those keynotes had charm, spontaneity and were generally fun to watch.

Today's keynote videos are more akin to watching a boilerplate list getting checked off.
