Amazon Introduces New Low $199.95 Price on Powerbeats Pro 2, Plus More Beats Discounts

Amazon this week is discounting a collection of Beats audio devices, including a new all-time low price on the Powerbeats Pro 2. You can get this new 2025 model for $199.95 in all four colors, down from $249.99.

This sale includes major discounts on products like the Beats Solo Buds, which have hit $59.95, down from $79.99. These are a solid entry-level option and feature up to 18 hours of playback, USB-C, and Spatial Audio.

For an upgraded model, Amazon has the Beats Studio Buds+ for $99.95, down from $169.95. These have up to 9 hours of playback (up to 36 hours with charging case), USB-C, active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.

I don't get the bad reviews, I had the PBP 1 for years and even bought a second pair as I wore the battery down, and they were great. Picked up the PBP 2 on day one, and I love them. I have no issues with wearing them all day long, they are definitely more comfortable than the first generation thanks to the smaller ear hook and I find the bass very good once you get the right size tip, better bass than the first generation for me and I do like ear buds with bass.

I even find the audio, especially voices to be a bit clearer. So far I've had zero issues with the charging, which was a massive pain with the old ones. No longer do I have one bud charged, and the other dead or partially charged, all because it wasn't placed with perfect accuracy onto the charging contacts. The magnets are a hell of a lot stronger on the PBP 2, and they just pull the ear buds into places flawlessly every time.

It's been nice finally having buds with noise cancellation at last as well. My main use for these are primary ear buds for my gaming PC, so games and movies and music, and just like the PBP 1, they work perfectly.

Do these actually charge, unlike the PBP1?

I refuse to believe the audio is *that* bad.
I've had these since the day they were released. To date, I've not had a single charging, or start-up issue with them. I did have to change the ear tips to a size larger than I expected, and I have no qualms at all about the sound quality.

These are better than the PBP1's in every way.

Astonishing that a second gen device ended up worse than the original. I was so looking forward to buying these after years of solid use with my PBP. One try at the Apple Store and it was the fastest NO I could have arrived at. The smaller hook is designed for well, smaller people -- immediate discomfort. Sound quality was nothing to be excited about. That same day I ordered a replacement for my PBP right earbud on eBay and happy with the decision. Poor product management written all over this.

I purchased some power beat pros and returned them the next day. They are the worst sounding earbuds I've even tried. Can't believe they sell these. When the apple guy asked why i was returning them I told them they sounded really bad. He said they where not made to sound good...

Such a disappointment for me... The Powerbeats Pro "1" were great for me but I switched to the Beats Fit Pro when they came out because they also fit well, were smaller, and had active noise cancelation. When the Powerbeats Pro 2 were announced they looked smaller and better than the first generation and I wanted to get a hook based earbud again for strictly sports use... 1) they fit poorly with a terrible ear seal no matter the size I used (they stay on fine, but the ear seal is bad) 2) the ANR is very poor compared to Beats Fit Pro and embarrassingly awful compared to AirPods Pro 2, made even worse when the ear seal gets loose 3) the HR sensing was very inaccurate and didn't work well Apple devices (Android work fine... like huh?!?) and 4) the sound was worse than the first generation and Beats Fit Pro by a significant margin. I returned them after 3 days. The smaller case was nice, they looked nice, and the colors were cool... but man what a bad update after waiting so long!
