iPhone 16 Pro Again Rumored to Come in New 'Rose' Color

Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available in a new "Rose" color, claims a rumor out of China, corroborating previous claims.

Chinese Weibo-based leaker OvO Baby Sauce OvO, a relatively new source of supply chain leaks, said on Tuesday that the new color code for the iPhone 16 Pro models is simply "Rose," not the previous "Rose Gold" color that Apple first offered back in 2015 for the iPhone 6S.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 16 Pro and ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ Max are expected to be available in black, white or silver, gray or "Natural Titanium," and rose. Kuo's prediction mirrored an earlier rumor from the same Weibo source, claiming that the existing Blue Titanium color will be dropped from the ‌‌iPhone 16 Pro‌‌ lineup in favor of a new "rose" titanium color.

Meanwhile, Kuo believes the ‌iPhone 16‌ and ‌iPhone 16‌ Plus will apparently be offered in black, green, pink, blue, and white. The iPhone 15 and ‌iPhone 15‌ Plus are available in black, green, pink, blue, and yellow. This means that white will replace yellow, with the colors remaining the same.

Kuo mentioned that Apple might rename some of the existing colors, similar to how "White" on the iPhone 12 was changed to "Starlight" on the iPhone 13. Even if the color names remain the same, the actual tone and appearance might still differ. The ‌iPhone 16‌ lineup is anticipated to be announced in the fall.

Moronic way of describing a color. What’s the problem in saying black, white, green, red…?

Marketing guys love complication.
If you've ever used the big box of Crayola crayons, you would know there are more colors than just the primary.

Wait until you go to pick out a new paint color and start reading the names on the swatches.
I just picked out "Warm semi-gloss eggshell" for the overhangs on my house. There were a good fifty options for various shared of white.

I don't understand the reluctance all this time to drop a pink Pro model. The demand for the pink 15 was very much there and so many people want a pink pro. Pink is probably the color I see the most with the 15 so I hope rose means pink this time around.
It won't be pink, or even rose, really. It'll be some shade of red with the opacity turned down to 5%, like every other iPhone, currently. Sigh.

I'm ready for some bright, solid, non-washed-out-metallic colors! ?

Ah, Rose Gold... it was such a wonderful color and I'm so sad to think it'll just remain a page in the history books. ?
The consistency of at one point being able to get a Rose Gold color iPhone (6s, SE, 7, 7 Plus), Apple Watch (Series 1 and 2), MacBook (Retina 12 inch), iPad Pro (9.7” and 10.5”), and even Beats Solo3, for some reason, was amazing as well.

15 years ago I saw a paint colour called “Seaside was biscuit”. I still think about it sometimes.
