Apple this week rolled out its redesigned iCloud app for Windows, touting a range of new features and improvements to enhance the user experience (via TechCrunch).
The latest update to the iCloud for Windows app brings an all-new design, an easier-to-use onboarding and setup process, syncing status, support for physical security keys for Apple ID sign-in, photos syncing performance improvements, fewer sign-in prompts, and fixes for problems with contacts and calendar syncing with Outlook.
The iCloud for Windows app is available to download from the Microsoft app store for free on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Existing users simply need to update the app to obtain the new design and improvements.
Yesterday, Apple launched individual Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices apps for Windows machines. The new apps are intended to replace functionality previously only offered iTunes, but the original app is still required to access podcasts and audiobooks.
Apple today said it is reversing its decision and will not change the email domain used for the iCloud+ Hide My Email feature.
Emails sent using Hide My Email will continue to use the same icloud.com domain that Apple uses for standard iCloud emails.
In June, Apple said it would unify the email domains used by Sign in with Apple and Hide My Email under a single private.icloud.com domain....

Update: Apple has released iOS 27.
During its iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo event last week, Apple announced that iOS 27 will be released widely on Monday, September 14.
iOS 27 should be available around 10 a.m. Pacific Time / 1 p.m. Eastern Time today via the Settings app, under General → Software Update.

Not hard to improve it because it was so ****. If I can actually use iCloud Drive now then I will be so happy. I am paying for iCloud storage and Google drive storage. I'd rather not have to pay for two cloud storage services. If it works then I will give Apple more money to increase the storage. Let's see if they finally did a good job.
