I’d rather get the M1 iPad Pro from Apple refurbished for cheaper. Besides, what is this 50% off? The price from when it was released? False advertising if you ask me.
The 50% is if you buy the 2Tb version for $850.

This seems like a very good deal, but I don't know what I'd do with an iPad. The MacBooks seems a lot more convenient with the built-in keyboard that also serves as a stand.

It does say "up to 50% off" which OneBar addresses which model gets it.

Just curious why you would prefer the refurb over a brand new model including a folio for only $20 more.. what am I missing?

Could not say no to the 12.9" 1TB at $979 (Apple wants $1489 refurbished) to replace my 2018 256GB model.

$30 is $30 for the iPad itself (base storage). Plus, refurbs (from Apple) are indistinguishable from new. I personally wouldn’t spend anything on a folio but that’s just me.
New is indistinguishable from new. Why would refurbs from Apple be better than new?

EDIT: Oh you're saying you can get the Apple refurb cheaper? Ok that makes sense... but not true for the higher storage models like 2TB as others have pointed out.
