I feel like every time there’s a firmware upgrade, Apple takes away a feature or makes something worse.

I just got two studio displays and wonder how one goes about updating the firmware. Magical incantation I assume...but eye of newt or what?

Saying stuff like this without showing why, only perpetuates the same false feelings for others making the issue seem larger than it actually is. Take the AirPods recent noise cancellation chagne. 2 updates ago, it got worse likely to avoid patent problems they are having with, the last update however has reimplemted a new form of noise cancellation that is up to par with the previous version. I ride a subway 1 hour to and from work, and there's a stretch of it that has a high pitched screeching noise which in the most recent version is back to being muffled in the background.

I like when people that doesn’t own this monitor complain here. I had all kinds 4k, 5k2k, 1440p from various brands. This is the first monitor I can have close, run it in full resolution and see the text properly. I’m a software developer so it’s important. I don’t need external camera or thunderbolt dock. It’s like a iMac to me but I can update the Mac driving it. I have zero issues with that thing. Just works

It’s weird that you have to update your monitor
If you think that's weird... wait till you have to update your MagSafe Charging Cable. That's weirder...?
