Eufy cameras are great. I have several of them outside, connected to solar panels so they stay charged. They are expected to go a year without recharging. Sadly, this only happens if you don't use them.

I don't use indoor cameras. They seem kind of creepy to me. (I keep one turned off and charging in the garage. When I am out of town, I put it someplace out of the way in the house and turn it on.)

Might pick up a few more NanoLeaf bulbs. I switched from Hue & although I like Nanonleaf, I just wished they expanded the product line. It's pretty much panels, the light strip and A19 bulbs.

My Eufy indoor cam is one of the best tech purchases made in the last couple of years, absolutely great, and inexpensive.

I've got about 10 eufy cams total, they're great, but some times don't work that well with home kit. Also, for their newest cams and homebase (Eufy 3's) there doesn't seem to be any homekit support (that I've found). So, seems like they're probably selling off stock of Eufy 2's.

Really wish they'd add homekit support to all their products and get it to be a little more stable.

I have several Eufy outdoor cameras (forget the model but they're the ball shaped ones with the magnetic mounts they stick to, to hold them in place). The video they output looks excellent, so I like that about them.

These are wired, using an AC adapter with an long cord, so no batteries to worry about recharging.

I used to recommend them to everybody, but now I have more reservations. I had issues recently where they all started disconnecting and showing "offline" status, despite my wifi router indicating they were online and were issued valid IP addresses. In one case, I unplugged its power and reconnected it, and that got it back online. But 2 others required a total reset, removing them from the Eufy app on my iPhone and adding them back as new devices. Even then, one fell off the network again in under 24 hours and required a second reset and adding back as a new device.

From some digging on forums online, I found out this had happened to many Eufy owners and looks like it was the result of a firmware update they pushed that broke their ability to talk to Eufy cloud servers, needed to bridge them to their app. This is a bit disturbing, because these were sold as not relying on a cloud server (they save their video locally onto micro SD cards inside them). It looks like Eufy wasn't honest about that and if their servers/systems go offline, the cameras become useless?

Is it possible to use Eufy cameras with HomeKit without using the Eufy app or making an account? I recently bought a Schlage smart lock with HomeKit support and I love the fact that I could set it up and am able to use it all within the Home app and I don't need to do anything on the software/account side with Schlage (nothing against them, I am just trying to slow down the creation of accounts for every this-and-that thing in my life).
I did set up an account initially, as it was prior to Apple introducing free cloud video whatever via HomeKit, but now I use it 100% through HomeKit. It's awesome. I think the only feature that is missing with HomeKit, or at least I haven't figured out how to do, is speaking through the camera to whoever is around. Most everything else(at least that I need) is perfect.
