This sale is only available in Silver, and you won't see the sale price until you reach the checkout screen due to the automatic on-page coupon.

Oh man, I feel like buying this for my brother

If your brother (or anybody reading this) doesn’t need 32GB of RAM, it’s definitely a solid deal… I got this exact one it for the full price due to “couldn’t get back in time” emergency and used it wfh for game dev on Unity with absolutely zero issues, outcome? Two months later and I’m still using it! Even prefer doing some video trailers there instead of a main iMac as it’s definitely faster and snappier.

Other savings that people don’t realize when compared to windows PCs: if not needing office and iWorks is good it comes with it for free, that’s a chunk there. Same for windows licenses. Won’t be bothered by mcafee or tons of others Ads, which I don’t get how this is still legal, buy and pay for a new PC to get bombarded with Ads as soon as the first boot sequence.

And most importantly, it just* works
*mostly, depending on whomever pushed the whatever Monterey version of the week without even testing it 😡

Anyone have any experience getting Best Buy to price match these type of discounts? I need a new MBP by Monday for a work thing and Amazon won’t get it here fast enough.

When I bought my M1 Air from Best Buy they priced matched Amazon originally, and then again when Amazon dropped it $50 less a week later. It was quick and easy for Best Buy to make the price adjustment both times.

Generally no problem with Amazon as it is one of the recognized online retailers identified by Best Buy for price match. To use pricematch, I just bring it up on my iPhone to verify and it is a done deal. There are two caveats. 1) Must be in stock at Amazon, and 2) must note "ships and sold by Amazon", not one of their 3rd party vendors.

The other issue - must be identical, and Besr Buy only stocks Space Gray...not Silver.
