Apple Says iCloud Mail is Experiencing an Outage [Resolved]

Only some users are affected by the outage, according to Apple, so your mileage may vary. We'll update this story once the issue is marked as resolved.

There was also an iCloud Keychain outage over the weekend that is now resolved.

Why so many outages? Seems to be one every few weeks.

Not only now. I have this issue since Friday. Over the last days I had several issues. iCloud says „Account Error“ and ist not updating. Even on Friday I could not acces my inbox for a whole day. Come on Apple this is 2021 and not 2000. As long as I can remember there wasn’t a single outage in Gmail.
