A special "Decade Collection" range of Beats Headphones are currently being promoted by online retail merchants ahead of scheduled availability on June 4.

Beats Decade Edition
A new Beats "Decade Collection" page on the Best Buy website spotted by AppleInsider provides a thorough breakdown of the Beats By Dre 10th anniversary limited edition range, which has yet to appear in Apple's online product listings. Details about the new Beats models also went live on the website of New Zealand-based retailer Smiths City.

Beats was launched so people could hear music the way the artist intended. A decade later they're still changing the game. Styled in Defiant Black-Red in tribute to their bold beginnings and music's dynamic emotion, the Beats Decade Collection celebrates their first 10 years of innovation.

The collection showcases a "Defiant Black-Red" color scheme to existing products in the Beats lineup, including Studio3 Wireless, Solo3 Wireless, Powerbeats3 Wireless, BeatsX Wireless, and urBeats3. All the headphones are available to pre-order at the same price as their more typically styled equivalents.

A report last week claimed that Apple's rumored "low-priced" version of the HomePod will be placed under the Beats by Dre brand instead of the expected Apple branding - although it seems unlikely that Apple would combine the two brands into one product.

Apple is also rumored to be working on a set of high-end over-ear headphones that, like the company's HomePod and AirPods, will be Apple branded rather than Beats branded.

Update: The new Decade Collection Beats are now available to order on Apple's site.

Beats is just what I need to hear about at a developer‘s conference.
You mean like when they announced the homepod, or iPad Pro or any other hardware announced over the years?

As for the headphones, those look sharp, I could see myself buying a pair.

Ok I was not a fan of beats in the beginning Ill admit that....

It took so long for Bose to come out with a wireless pair of noise cancellation when the iPhone head jack was removed & there was a sale of Beats X in Apple store at the time.

So I went for it an you know they are really good, also a big + is the tangle free cord. Wore them all time in AZ Summer did not fall out ears when walking, plenty of cushion tips to try. Very Comfortable...

Holiday time frame comes around an I need some headphones for the gym so I got the Power Beats 3 and they sound great good bass and with over-ear clip they stay in place and you don't feel as you have them on...

So I may just get another pair for the color BUT its time to replace by BOSE QC3...

Let me know if you have Studio 3/2 and how you like them????
I have the beats Studio 2 headphones and absolutely love them.

Don't most reviews say the bass is overbearing?
Maybe ten years ago? That hasn't been the case for awhile.

That was at least a complete new product line, which is worth the attention that Apples keynotes usually provides. And who knows, they may open it up to developers sometime in the future.
No, I have to disagee. They've used WWDC to announce laptops, iphone models, speakers, mac pros. They make no such distinction whether its a single product vs. a product line. The conference is dedicated to developers but Apple has consistently used the keynote as a vehicle to announce hardware.

Not so much anymore. The Solo 3 (which I believe were released after Apple bought them) have a much more balanced sound than previous models.

People always slag off beats but you know what? I have to stand up for them. I tried the Beats X and they sounded great. I now have the powerbeats 3 headphones, and they sound superb. They have bass but it's controlled not boomy and sound is similar to when you have a good pair of stereo speakers and a subwoofer. I really like them.

I did own a pair of Beats EP On-Ear Headphones but they sounded muffled to me.

I have owned KEF speakers, a REL subwoofer, Etymotic earphones, B+O headphones, Bose headphones, Audio Technica, Grado, etc. So I have listening to quite a lot of brands and want high quality sound and to me and my ears, the powerbeats 3 are perfect (and don't fall off your ears or out of them).

I also owned the first gen beats earphones and overhead noise cancelling headphones and they did suck! Boomy bass, just a cheesy HIP/HOP sound with everything you listened to. A bit like those guys who have 24" subs in the boot of their car that cost £30 but sounds like garbage!

Honestly, try the powerbeats 3, you won't be disappointed!
