The Starbucks app for iOS devices was today updated to version 4.5, introducing a refined user interface for locating nearby stores and placing orders.

Finding a Starbucks store that's close by is easier following the 4.5 update, with an improved map that makes it easier to see which stores are closest to you.

One-tap filters that are better organized offer a faster way to find a suitable location, and when you tap on a store from the available store list, you're now presented with a map and directions to it.

Ordering has also been improved, with a main menu that offers images of each available product and a more intuitive, easy-to-use layout for drilling down into each food and drink section.

While the iOS App Store update info focuses only on the new store location features, a product designer at Starbucks says the update also includes Touch ID and Face ID support for locking the Starbucks app and a long list of bug fixes.

The Starbucks app can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

Can't say for sure... When we see that error, it's almost always because of an address formatting issue. Could you triple-check the billing address by tapping on the card in the Apple Pay bottom sheet, then scrolling down?

(It may work fine for other retailers because they have looser requirements for billing address.)
Thanks, that did the trick. I deleted my address and re-entered it, and the reload worked just fine now.

Starbucks product designer here. For those of you with Wallet issues, could you tell me:

1) If you have automatic updates turned on? (Tap the "i" on your wallet pass, then look for a toggle.)
2) If the card has been in your wallet for a long time, like, years? We switched the backend for passes a few years ago because of issues like this, so I'm curious if older passes see this issue more than newer ones.

Thanks for dropping in.

I have a question about a problem I’ve been having for over a year. When I try to reload a card with Apple Pay, it can’t complete my payment. It works when I select the Visa card, but not Apple Pay. Apple Pay works in other apps though.

I've never experienced an incorrect balance. I didn't know that was a thing with Starbucks.

Rembeber when macrumors was about Apple related rumors, and not news about some company that updates their app?
Remember when someone would make a comment like that... and then someone else would reply with: "and you still felt the need to click the article and leave a comment?"

I remember... :p
