In before I get harped on about being a public menace and danger to society for speeding. :p

I consider it my civic duty to break the ridiculous 25 MPH speed limits on all the big, straight, median-divided, non-residential streets here. The streets in Berkeley are deliberately designed to make driving annoying.
I got a ticket in May for going 51 in a 35. Perfectly straight, 20 foot wide lanes, no traffic, perfect weather. A speed limit is a sign. You could put a 40mph Speed Limit on a freeway and get a ticket for going 65 in 40. Would you be a danger and menace to society? I'm a 5th year Civil Engineering Major with Transportation Emphasis. Other than curve speed signs, most speed limits seem purely political and nothing to do with physics or engineering.

Love the Waze app, use it nearly everyday. I do not like that it, like Garmin et al, follow the UPS model of making you make 3 right turns instead of 1 left.

There was a place literally across the street and two driveways over to the right, and Waze took me on a 2 mile circuitous route that made me go all the way around 3 long blocks to come up so it was on my right hand side when I got there. Stupid waste of time.

Generally it is spot on though!
Try this out -- go under settings (within the actual Waze app), tap on navigation, and then search for the slider that says "Reduce difficult intersections." Is it turned on? If so, try turning it off. :)

I quite like the feature when it helps me avoid "suicide lefts," though I can entirely see where it could be a burden, especially if traffic isn't too bad where you're at.

Remember whenever Waze added the speed limit feature? The speedometer turns red whenever you go over the speed limit.

I think that I literally turned that feature off within two minutes of seeing it for the first time. The speedometer would be red 95% of the time for me. :D I still do have the speedometer visible, though.

I like Waze, I would like it a bit more if they wouldn't require the always on location. Besides that I just used it for nearly 2000 miles and it was pretty much spot on. Waze and a CB radio kept me moving.

Maybe it considers making a U-turn on your street illegal.

If you're not a barefoot stoned hippie with a trust fund, Berkeley hates you lol but you know this.
