Apple has taken its online storefront down in order to prepare for the launch of iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro orders, which will likely begin at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time or 3:01 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, March 24. Orders will be available on Apple's site, through the Apple Store app, and through carrier websites.
Apple will accept orders for the two devices in first wave launch countries that include Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK, US Virgin Islands, and the US.
The iPhone SE is available in 16 and 64GB capacities in the United States, with pricing that starts at $399 for an outright purchase. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available in 32, 128, and 256GB capacities with prices that start at $599. Both Wi-Fi and Cellular models are available.
Supplies of the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro are likely to be adequate and we do not expect the devices to sell out. Nevertheless, customers planning to purchase should do so right away just in case.
Deliveries on orders placed today are expected to begin on March 31, which is also the day when the two devices will be available for in-store purchase.

Last year, Apple launched CarPlay Ultra, the long-awaited next-generation version of its CarPlay software system for vehicles. Nearly nine months later, CarPlay Ultra is still limited to Aston Martin's latest luxury vehicles, but that should change fairly soon.
In May 2025, Apple said many other vehicle brands planned to offer CarPlay Ultra, including Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis.
In his Powe...

Apple today confirmed to Reuters that it has acquired Q.ai, an Israeli startup that is working on artificial intelligence technology for audio.
Apple paid close to $2 billion for Q.ai, according to sources cited by the Financial Times. That would make this Apple's second-biggest acquisition ever, after it paid $3 billion for the popular headphone and audio brand Beats in 2014.
Q.ai has...

The calendar has turned to February, and a new report indicates that Apple's next product launch is "imminent," in the form of new MacBook Pro models.
"All signs point to an imminent launch of next-generation MacBook Pros that retain the current form factor but deliver faster chips," Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said on Sunday. "I'm told the new models — code-named J714 and J716 — are slated...

Apple recently updated its online store with a new ordering process for Macs, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro.
There used to be a handful of standard configurations available for each Mac, but now you must configure a Mac entirely from scratch on a feature-by-feature basis. In other words, ordering a new Mac now works much like ordering an...

Apple is planning to launch new MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips alongside macOS 26.3, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
"Apple's faster MacBook Pros are planned for the macOS 26.3 release cycle," wrote Gurman, in his Power On newsletter today.
"I'm told the new models — code-named J714 and J716 — are slated for the macOS 26.3 software cycle, which runs from...
I was planning on upgrading before the announcement. A dubious amount of RAM and USB 2 for a price of almost $2k does not seem worth it. I'm not sure that this is the apple we want them to be. Maybe a boycott would make them rethink their strategy?
Long time Mac user. And first-time iPhone user in a couple of hours. I'll miss you android :(
...kinda
That "missing" Android will last right up until you peel off the shrink wrap, allow the lower part of the box to slowwwwwly, telescopically drop to the table and INHALE THE APPLE SMELL!!! trust me! :D
I see this as the least improved iPad ever released since the original came out. Considering they took an extra 6 months to get us the updated 9.7" iPad (vs the annual updates we've been getting), and they increased the price by $100, they needed to do a bit more. If they at least added force touch to the iPad, I'd of bought one. Extra $100 for what? We always get faster CPUs, and more memory (they didn't even include more memory on this). The smart connector isn't of any value, as that requires even more cost to leverage (as well as the pen support). At $499 I'd of bought one to replace my iPad Air. That $100 is just a slap in the face.
So you're going from and iPad Air 1 16gb and the new pro ships with 32gb. There, that's your extra $100.
Oh and you get all this throw away stuff as well:
Double the speakers (stereo/surround) 7.1 Dolby surround support 6x cpu performance since air 1 Probably 8x-10x gpu performance Apple Pencil support 300% resolution increase on camera Camera flash Smart connector capabilities for accessories Ambient light sensors for true color tones based on environment The brightest, widest color gamut on any apple device in existence Touch ID M9 Coprocessor for "Hey Siri" support and health stuff 20% thinner ~15-20% lighter
A dubious amount of RAM and USB 2 for a price of almost $2k does not seem worth it.
Exactly! $2K? Ridiculous! Where do they come off charging $3K? I sure as hell ain't paying no $4K for no iPad. Please. Five thousand dollars for a slab of pixels...blah! The nerve of asking $6K!
