ThinkSecret confirms that the upcoming iPod peripherals will include a microphone and an image card reader.
A recent MacRumors Page 2 report previously detailed that one upcoming iPod peripheral would be an SD/CF memory card adapter for photos, while multiple reports have labeled the other peripheral as a microphone.
ThinkSecret also mentions an iPod Software update which will provide support for the new peripherals, improved iPod features, and a new iPod game.
Update: ThinkSecret has added more details to their report regarding iTunes 4.1. iTunes 4.1 is reported to provide On-The-Go playlist synchronization, voice notes, Audible.com integration, amongst other features.

Apple this year acquired Israeli startup Q.ai for close to $2 billion, according to the Financial Times. That would make this Apple's second-biggest acquisition ever, after it paid $3 billion for the popular headphone maker Beats in 2014.
This is also the largest known Apple acquisition since the company purchased Intel's smartphone modem business and patents for $1 billion in 2019.
