Apple's forthcoming foldable iPhone, reportedly dubbed "iPhone Duo," will start with a 256GB base storage option, reports Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
According to the report, the 256GB model will be priced at $2,000, while the highest-capacity model will be priced around $3,000, which, if true, would make it the most expensive iPhone ever.
A previous rumor all the way back in March suggested that Apple's first foldable iPhone would come in three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. We aren't yet able to confirm whether the two higher-capacity models will be the ones available at launch, but it seems likely Apple will use them to dictate two higher price points.
For context, Apple presently offers the iPhone 17 Pro in the same three storage options – 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB – with the iPhone 17 Pro Max offered in a fourth 2TB storage option costing $1,999.
Gurman says the iPhone Duo will "go on sale as early as October," suggesting it will be available to buy at a later date than the iPhone 18 Pro models, which are also expected to be unveiled today at Apple's "Surprise and Shine" event.
