Apple yesterday announced the new Mac mini and Mac Studio, and pre-orders have begun on each device ahead of their September 22 launch date. We aren't currently tracking any straight cash discounts on pre-orders, but Best Buy is offering some money back in the form of Best Buy rewards when ordering.

One way to get money back is to cancel your order and not reward obscene price increases. Instead making what you have work longer or purchasing used or refurbished products from third parties.

2% at Best Buy for their rewards or 3% on the Apple Card - of course if you mac out the Studio, you may need a credit limit increase. :-) (Even with the Bank of America card we have with the bonus it is minimum 2.625% so 2% at Best Buy doesn't seem smart).

With all these price increases on new products due to ram etc does that mean Apple will soon increase trade in values seeing as the components within are now worth more?

Won't buy a 256GB Mac Mini again. When the 512GB model is on sale or has open-box for $899 or less, then I'll think about it.

As a BB Total member, I would get 2 years AppleCare+ with the purchase regardless.

Agreed 100%

Best way to save money is to not spend it unless necessary for work/life. This upgrade cycle FOMO corporations have injected into society’s consciousness is troubling. And that’s coming from someone that loves shiny new tech. I just have to remember: the shine wears off.
