Starting today, PlayStation Vue will be supported on Apple TV (4th generation), leveraging Apple TV's latest hardware to create an innovative experience. You will be able to take advantage of Apple TV's Siri Remote and easy navigation with touch, while enjoying PlayStation Vue's sleek look and feel. PlayStation Vue brings popular programming to Apple TV, from live sports networks like ESPN and NFL Network, to premium channels like AMC, FX, HBO, and Showtime.

PlayStation Vue subscribers can link their accounts to the Apple TV after downloading the PlayStation Vue app, which is available as of this morning. PlayStation Vue allows for content to be streamed simultaneously on up to five devices at once, making it ideal for families.

Wait, you can't stream out of home on VUE? No cell streaming? How does VUE know if you are on your home wifi and not a friends wifi?
You can easily stream nearly all of Vue's programming out of home. Only NBC channels for some reason prohibit streaming outside of the home. One caveat, however, is that the device you are using has to connect to the Vue service through the home network first, then you can stream on the go.

I want it too, but Amazon is the one to complain to about this. tvOS isn't that radically different from iOS and they already have an iOS app. It's pretty clear that Amazon is doing this on purpose to try to give their Fire TV a leg up against the Apple TV (along with outlawing sales of Apple TV on amazon.com - even from 3rd party sellers - "to avoid confusion" - uh huh, sure).

Cool! When they say "DVR", does that mean only things that you have said in advance that you want to "record", or does it give streaming access to prior episodes (and even seasons), like Hulu does?
If prior episodes are available On Demand, they will show up when you "Favorite" the show. And you can also log in to the channel's TV Anywhere app and watch what is available there as well.

No Comedy Central :(

Apparently, up until last week Comedy Central was included, but they just dropped it.
It was dropped because Viacom are greedy *******s. Same type of crap cable and satellite companies go through every couple of years. Hopefully it will be back eventually.

I was curious too, so I poked around a bit. Sounds like the answer is yes. This AppleTV-specific page ('https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/apple-tv/') looks like one can activate the service with only the Apple TV.

$30/mo for the low-end package could be quite attractive, especially if it could supplant Hulu, for cord cutters.
You don't need a Playstation at-all. You do need to set up a PSN account for it. I've been using it on FireTV for about six months now. It is amazing, and blows away Sling. Hopefully Sony will eventually drop the "Playstation" part off the name as it is confusing for people. I have heard it referred to lately by them and others as just "Vue".

For people who have had both, how would you compare it to Sling?
It's light years ahead. Way better interface and no streaming issues thus far!

Will this work even if I don't own a Playstation? Can I just sign up for the service? I've been using Sling, but it's pretty awful on Apple Tv.
Yes. You need to create a PlayStation ID, but that's free and can be done on the web.

With this and (hopefully) DirecTV Now coming to the ATV, it will make cord-cutting a more-likely possibility.

Can anyone confirm if this has Siri Support or will work with the (beta) TV App?
